Klim Nick

Klim Nick (クリム・ニック, Kurimu Nikku) was an ace pilot of the Amerian Army and the brother of Aida Surugan in Mobile Suit Gundam: Reconguista in G. As one of the most skilled pilots representing the Amerian forces, Klim played a significant role in the conflict over the Capital Tower and its photon battery energy supply.

Biography

Amerian Army service

Klim Nick served as an elite pilot in the Amerian Army, the military force that controlled the American continent in the Regild Century. The Amerian Army was one of several factions competing for influence over the Capital Tower, and Klim’s skills as a pilot made him a valuable asset in this ongoing struggle.

Klim piloted the VGMM-Gb10 G-Lucifer, an advanced Amerian mobile suit that served as his primary weapon throughout the series. The G-Lucifer was among the most capable machines in the Amerian arsenal, and Klim’s expertise in operating it made him a formidable opponent in combat.

Relationship with Aida

The relationship between Klim and his sister Aida Surugan was a central emotional thread in Reconguista in G. Aida was connected to the Capital Tower and the YG-111 Gundam G-Self through the Rayhunton Code, and her amnesia meant she had no memory of her family connection to Klim.

Klim’s motivation throughout much of the series was driven by his desire to protect and reunite with Aida. However, their paths diverged significantly — Aida found herself aligned with Bellri Zenam and the Megafauna crew, while Klim fought for the Amerian Army’s interests. This family divide mirrored the broader factional conflict that defined the series.

Role in the conflict

Klim’s position as an Amerian ace placed him in direct opposition to pilots from other factions, including Bellri Zenam in the G-Self. His combat encounters with Bellri were significant not just as military engagements but as personal conflicts — two skilled pilots on opposite sides of a war, each fighting for their own understanding of what was right.

As the conflict escalated, Klim’s perspective on the war evolved. The competing interests of the Capital Guard, Capital Army, G-IT Corps, and forces from Towasanga created a complex political landscape in which simple notions of right and wrong became increasingly difficult to maintain.

Personality & traits

Klim was characterised by his determination and martial skill. As an ace pilot, he took pride in his abilities and his service to the Amerian Army. However, his devotion to his sister Aida revealed a softer side that contrasted with his warrior exterior.

His relationship with Aida drove much of his character arc, and the tension between his duty to the Amerian Army and his desire to protect his sister created compelling internal conflict. Klim represented the human cost of the factional struggle — a skilled warrior whose personal life was complicated by the larger forces at play.

Skills & abilities

Klim was one of the most skilled mobile suit pilots in the Amerian Army. His mastery of the VGMM-Gb10 G-Lucifer demonstrated his technical proficiency and combat instinct. In engagements with Bellri Zenam’s G-Self, Klim proved to be a worthy opponent, matching Bellri in skill and determination.

VGMM-Gb10 G-Lucifer

The G-Lucifer was Klim’s primary mobile suit, an advanced unit fielded by the Amerian Army. It was one of the most capable machines in the Amerian arsenal and served as Klim’s weapon throughout the series. The G-Lucifer’s design and capabilities made it a match for many of the other advanced mobile suits in the conflict, though the ancient G-Self possessed capabilities that exceeded conventional mobile suit technology.
