VGMM-Gb10 Gundam G-Lucifer
Amerian Gundam piloted by Mask (Luin Lee), the primary rival to the Gundam G-Self.
The VGMM-Gb10 Gundam G-Lucifer (VGMM-Gb10 ガンダムG-ルシファー, Bī Jī Emu Emu Jī Bī Ten Gandamu Jī Rushifā) was an Amerian Gundam-type mobile suit operated by the Amerian Army during the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Reconguista in G. Piloted by the masked officer Luin Lee (alias “Mask”), the G-Lucifer served as the primary rival to Bellri Zenam’s YG-111 Gundam G-Self throughout the series.
History
Development
The G-Lucifer was developed by Ameria as part of their Gundam-type mobile suit programme, which produced several advanced machines bearing the “Gundam” designation. The Amerian Army’s approach to Gundam development reflected their ambition to compete technologically with other factions in the Regild Century, including the Capital Tower establishment and the lunar forces of Towasanga.
The G-Lucifer’s design incorporated advanced photon battery power systems, placing it in the same technological class as other Gundam-type machines of the era. Its designation “VGMM-Gb10” placed it within the Amerian military nomenclature system, distinguishing it from the pre-Taboo designation of the G-Self (“YG-111”).
Combat operations
Under the command of Luin Lee, who operated under the alias “Mask,” the G-Lucifer was deployed against the Megafauna and its allies on multiple occasions. Its confrontations with the G-Self formed some of the most significant mobile suit battles in Reconguista in G, as both machines represented the pinnacle of their respective technological traditions.
Mask’s aggressive and skilled piloting style made the G-Lucifer a formidable opponent. The machine’s performance in combat demonstrated the Amerian Army’s capability to produce machines that could rival even ancient pre-Taboo technology like the G-Self.
Design & capabilities
The G-Lucifer featured a design aesthetic that was distinctly Amerian, with angular lines and a colour scheme that emphasised its military origins. Its armament included beam sabres for close combat and a beam rifle for ranged engagements, supported by a shield for defensive operations.
The G-Lucifer could be upgraded to the VGMM-Gf10 Gundam G-Lucifer Full Dress configuration, which added enhanced armour and weapons systems for more demanding combat scenarios.
