G-IT Corps
Special forces serving the lunar settlement of Towasanga in the Reconguista conflict.
The G-IT Corps was a special forces organisation serving Towasanga, the lunar settlement, in Mobile Suit Gundam: Reconguista in G. As the military arm of the Moon-based faction, the G-IT Corps represented Towasanga’s interests in the conflict over the Capital Tower and its photon battery energy supply.
Overview
The G-IT Corps operated as the special forces unit of Towasanga, bringing a space-based perspective to the conflict that centred on Earth’s Capital Tower. Their involvement in the conflict added another dimension to the already complex political landscape of the Regild Century, where the Capital Guard, Capital Army, Amerian Army, and Pirate Corps were all competing for influence.
As a special forces organisation, the G-IT Corps was smaller and more specialised than the large conventional armies of the other factions. This meant they operated with greater precision and flexibility, conducting targeted operations rather than large-scale military campaigns.
History
Towasanga’s interests
Towasanga was a settlement on the Moon with its own interests in the photon battery energy system. Like all factions in the Regild Century, Towasanga depended on photon batteries for its energy supply, and the G-IT Corps was deployed to protect and advance Towasanga’s interests in the conflict.
The involvement of Gusion Surugan, father of Aida Surugan, connected Towasanga directly to the central events of the series. Gusion’s role in the conflict demonstrated the personal connections that underpinned the larger factional struggle.
Operations during the Reconguista conflict
The G-IT Corps conducted operations in support of Towasanga’s objectives throughout the series. These operations brought them into contact — and often into conflict — with forces from the Capital Guard, Capital Army, Amerian Army, and the Pirate Corps.
The G-IT Corps operated mobile suits specifically designed for their special forces role, including the VGMM-Gb03 Gaeon as a commander unit and amphibious units like the VGMM-Gb08 Z’Gocky for operations in aquatic environments.
Mobile suits
VGMM-Gb03 Gaeon
The VGMM-Gb03 Gaeon served as a commander mobile suit for the G-IT Corps, providing enhanced capabilities for special forces operations.
VGMM-Gb08 Z’Gocky
The VGMM-Gb08 Z’Gocky was an amphibious mobile suit used by the G-IT Corps for operations in aquatic environments. Its design was based on the classic Z’Gok design from the Universal Century, adapted for Regild Century technology.
VGMM-Gb07 Z’Gok-E
The VGMM-Gb07 Z’Gok-E was another amphibious mobile suit used by the G-IT Corps.

- Their special forces nature meant they could conduct operations with greater precision than conventional armies
- Their connection to Towasanga linked them to the lunar side of the photon battery supply chain
