Seric Abis (セリック・アビス, Serikku Abisu) was a captain in the Earth Federation forces during the third generation of the war against Vagan in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. He served as the commanding officer of the assault ship Diva, leading the legendary vessel in the final phase of the century-long conflict.
Biography
Commanding the Diva
Seric took command of the Diva during the third generation of the war, inheriting a ship with a storied history. The Diva had served under Grodek Ainoa in the first generation and had been the operational platform for the AGE-1 Gundam piloted by Flit Asuno, and later the AGE-2 Gundam piloted by Asemu Asuno.
Under Seric’s command, the Diva continued to play a central role in Federation operations. The ship supported the deployment of the AGE-3 Gundam piloted by Kio Asuno, the third generation of the Asuno family to take up the mantle of Gundam pilot.
Third generation operations
Seric’s tenure as captain of the Diva coincided with the most intense period of the war against Vagan. The third generation saw escalating conflict, with Vagan launching increasingly aggressive attacks against Earth Federation targets. Seric was responsible for coordinating the Diva’s response to these threats while managing the complex dynamics between the ship’s crew and the Asuno family.
His relationship with Flit Asuno — who by the third generation had become a hardened supreme commander of the Federation forces — was an important aspect of his command. Seric had to balance Flit’s strategic direction with the realities of operating the Diva in the field.
