XVX-016RN Gundam Aerial Rebuild
Upgraded GUND-ARMS rebuilt from the Gundam Aerial in The Witch from Mercury.
The XVX-016RN Gundam Aerial Rebuild (XVX-016RN ガンダムエアリアル・リビルド) is the upgraded GUND-ARMS in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, rebuilt from the XVX-016 Gundam Aerial. It is piloted by Suletta Mercury in the second half of the series after the Aerial is damaged and reconstructed, retaining its link to Ericht Samaya and the GUND Format.
History
Following the loss of the original Aerial in battle, Prospera Mercury oversees the Rebuild. The unit returns with improved performance and remains central to Suletta’s role in the conflict between the Benerit Group and Prospera’s revenge. The Rebuild’s Permet link and GUND-Bits play a key part in the series finale.
Design
The Aerial Rebuild preserves the Permet and GUND Format architecture of the original Aerial with updated armour and equipment. It continues to operate without harming the pilot and uses GUND-Bits for ranged combat.
