XVX-016 Gundam Aerial

The XVX-016 Gundam Aerial (XVX-016 ガンダムエアリアル) is the hero GUND-ARMS in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, piloted by Suletta Mercury. It uses the GUND Format but does not harm its pilot, unlike earlier GUND-ARMS, and is central to the mystery of Suletta’s past and Prospera Mercury’s revenge. The machine is later revealed to be linked to Ericht Samaya.
History
Aerial was built by Prospera Mercury (Elnora Samaya) after the Vanadis Incident and raised with Suletta on Mercury. Suletta brings it to the Asticassia School of Technology and uses it in duels and battles. It is upgraded to the Gundam Aerial Rebuild in the second half of the series. The Aerial’s Permet link and identity are key to the finale.
Design
Aerial is a GUND-ARMS powered by Permet and the GUND Format. It has a distinctive design with GUND-Bits for remote weapons and high performance. Its ability to operate without injuring the pilot sets it apart from banned GUND-ARMS and drives both corporate interest and the story’s revelations.
