The XVB-XD Farsia (XVB-XD ファルシア, XVB-XD Farushia) was the custom mobile suit of Desil Galette in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. As a unique Vagan unit designed for one of Vagan’s most distinctive characters, the Farsia reflected Desil’s obsession with obtaining the power of the AGE System.
History
Development
The Farsia was developed specifically for Desil Galette, a Vagan operative who was fascinated by the AGE System and the Gundam mobile suits it produced. Desil viewed the AGE System as a source of ultimate power and repeatedly attempted to capture or steal it throughout the series.
The Farsia was designed to embody Desil’s ambitions — a mobile suit that could rival the Gundam’s capabilities and potentially surpass them. The mobile suit incorporated advanced Vagan technology and was customised to reflect Desil’s unique combat style and preferences.
Combat deployment
Desil piloted the Farsia in his operations against the Earth Federation and the Gundam mobile suits. His encounters with the AGE-1 Gundam and the AGE-2 Gundam were driven by his desire to understand and possess the AGE System’s technology.
The Farsia’s capabilities were tested in these encounters, and while it was a formidable mobile suit, Desil’s psychological instability — his obsession with the AGE System — often undermined his effectiveness in combat. The Farsia reflected Desil’s ambition but could not compensate for his lack of discipline and focus.
Desil’s obsession
The Farsia’s existence was intertwined with Desil Galette’s character arc. Desil’s fascination with the AGE System drove much of his behaviour throughout the series, and the Farsia was a physical manifestation of this obsession. The mobile suit represented Desil’s desire for power and his belief that the AGE System held the key to ultimate military superiority.
Design

The Farsia was a custom-built mobile suit that incorporated advanced Vagan technology. Its design was distinctive, reflecting Desil’s individualistic personality and his ambitions to rival the Gundam.
Armaments
The Farsia was equipped with beam sabers, a beam rifle, and a defensive shield. While these were standard mobile suit weapons, the Farsia’s weapon systems were enhanced with Vagan technology that provided superior performance compared to standard Vagan mobile suit armaments.
