Terminal
Lacus Clyne and Kira Yamato's covert information and support network in Gundam SEED Destiny.
Terminal (ターミナル, Tāminaru) was the informal information and support network organised around Lacus Clyne, Kira Yamato, and their allies in the Cosmic Era timeline. Operating from the battleship Eternal and cooperating closely with the Three Ships Alliance, Terminal gathered intelligence, coordinated sympathetic forces, and supplied mobile suits and logistics outside the control of both the Earth Alliance and ZAFT.
In Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, Terminal quietly opposed Gilbert Durandal, LOGOS, and factions within the Earth Alliance by providing Lacus’s group with secure communication lines, safe houses, and technical support. The organisation arranged for the construction and delivery of advanced Second Stage Series mobile suits such as the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam and ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice Gundam, diverting them from ZAFT’s formal command structure so that Kira and Athrun Zala could act independently to prevent the escalation of the Second Alliance-PLANT War.
Terminal never presented itself as a formal government or military; instead, it functioned as a loose, deniable network of technicians, officers, and civilians who believed that neither LOGOS nor Durandal’s Destiny Plan should dictate humanity’s future. By combining intelligence, covert logistics, and public broadcasts led by Lacus, Terminal enabled the Three Ships Alliance to challenge both sides of the conflict and ultimately helped bring about the war’s conclusion.
