Inaho Kaizuka

Inaho Kaizuka is the male protagonist of Aldnoah.Zero. A calm, analytical high school student living in Shinjuku, Japan, he becomes a pivotal figure in the war between Earth and the Vers Empire after the Mars Knights invade.

History

Season 1

Inaho lived a quiet life with his older sister Yuki Kaizuka and brother-in-law Marito Kaizuka, who ran a small medical clinic. When the Vers Empire declared war on Earth following the bombing of the peace conference, Inaho found himself caught in the invasion of Shinjuku.

Displaying remarkable composure and tactical ingenuity, Inaho used his knowledge of physics and engineering to outmaneuver Vers Knightmare pilots despite being a civilian. His ability to remain calm under pressure and exploit the weaknesses of enemy mecha earned him the nickname “Orange” from Asseylum Vers Allusia, who mistook him for a different boy.

Inaho joined the Earth Forces and was assigned a modified Areion equipped with experimental weapons. His tactical approach relied on careful analysis of enemy abilities, environmental advantages, and creative use of limited resources rather than brute force.

Season 2

Following the ceasefire, Inaho continued to serve in the Earth Forces. He played a key role in the conflict against the radical Vers faction led by Slaine Troyard, who sought to unite Earth and Mars under his own rule. Inaho’s analytical skills and piloting ability were further refined, and he continued to pilot increasingly advanced mecha in defense of the fragile peace.

Personality

Inaho is defined by his extreme emotional restraint and logical thinking. He approaches combat as a series of problems to solve, analyzing enemy capabilities methodically before engaging. His calm demeanor often masks a deep sense of duty to protect those around him, particularly his sister and the people of Earth.

Unlike typical hot-blooded mecha protagonists, Inaho fights with cold efficiency. He rarely shows excitement or fear, preferring to observe, calculate, and act with precision. This makes him an unpredictable opponent for Vers pilots who expect conventional military responses.

Relationships

• Asseylum Vers Allusia: The Vers princess whose safety Inaho is tasked with protecting. Their relationship is built on mutual respect and shared desire for peace.
• Slaine Troyard: His primary rival and ideological opposite. Where Inaho is calm and logical, Slaine is emotional and driven by personal loyalty.
