Inaho Kaizuka

Inaho Kaizuka (界塚 イナホ, Kaizuka Inaho) was a calm, analytical student from Shinjuku who became a pilot of the Earth Forces. After the Vers Empire invaded Earth, his composure and grasp of physics made him one of the defenders’ most effective Kataphrakt pilots.

History

Inaho Kaizuka left a quiet civilian life in Shinjuku for the front line of the war against the Vers Empire.

Early life

Inaho lived with his older sister Yuki Kaizuka and brother-in-law Marito Kaizuka, who ran a small medical clinic.

Invasion of Shinjuku

When the Vers Empire declared war on Earth after the bombing of a peace conference, the fighting reached Shinjuku. Still a civilian, Inaho used his knowledge of physics and engineering to outmanoeuvre Vers Kataphrakt pilots. His composure under fire, and his habit of exploiting the weaknesses of enemy machines, earned him the nickname “Orange” from Asseylum Vers Allusia, who mistook him for another boy.

He then joined the Earth Forces and was assigned a modified Areion fitted with experimental weapons. His tactics depended on a careful study of enemy abilities, the ground he fought on, and the creative use of limited resources.

After the ceasefire

Following the ceasefire, Inaho remained with the Earth Forces. He took a leading part in the fighting against the Vers faction led by Slaine Troyard, who sought to unite Earth and Mars under his own rule. Inaho’s analysis and piloting grew sharper, and he continued to fly increasingly advanced machines in defence of the fragile peace.

Personality

Inaho was defined by extreme emotional restraint and logical thinking. He treated combat as a series of problems, studying an enemy’s capabilities before he engaged. The calm manner often hid a strong sense of duty towards his sister and the people of Earth.

He fought with cold efficiency. He rarely showed excitement or fear, and preferred to observe, calculate, and act with precision. Vers pilots who expected a conventional military response found him difficult to predict.

Relationships

• Asseylum Vers Allusia: The Vers princess whose safety Inaho was charged with protecting. Their relationship rested on mutual respect and a shared desire for peace.
• Slaine Troyard: His principal rival and ideological opposite. Where Inaho was calm and logical, Slaine was emotional and driven by personal loyalty.
• Yuki Kaizuka: His protective older sister, who worried about his tendency to throw himself into danger.
• Marito Kaizuka: His brother-in-law, a former soldier who understood Inaho’s combat abilities and supported his decisions.
