The Vers Empire (ヴァース帝国) is the Martian state in Aldnoah.Zero. Founded by colonists who discovered Aldnoah technology on Mars and declared independence, the Empire’s power is rooted in the genetic lock of the first Emperor over Aldnoah activation. The Empire is organised into 37 clans of Orbital Knights, each operating Kataphrakts with unique Aldnoah Drive abilities. After Heaven’s Fall in 1999, Vers forces retreated to orbital stations in the debris belt; they launch a new assault on Earth in 2014 following an attack on Princess Asseylum.
