ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam
ZAFT prototype transformable mobile suit with DRAGOON-like pods; stolen by Phantom Pain and piloted by Sting Oakley.
The ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam (カオスガンダム, Kaosu Gandamu) was a prototype transformable mobile suit developed by ZAFT and one of three Second Stage units stolen by the Earth Alliance’s Phantom Pain during the Battle at Armory One. Sting Oakley piloted it in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. The Chaos used Variable Phase Shift Armor and featured DRAGOON-style mobile weapon pods with a quantum communications system for remote attacks. It could transform to mobile armour mode with beam claws in the feet. Power was supplied by a deuterion beam recharge system.
History
The Chaos was at Armory One when Phantom Pain attacked. Sting stole it and operated it for the remainder of the Second Alliance-PLANT War until his death.
Design
The Chaos emphasised close combat and multi-directional fire from its DRAGOON pods. In MA mode the leg units became assault blades for melee attacks.
