The VGMM-Gb07 Zgok-E (VGMM-Gb07 ゾック-E) was an amphibious mobile suit operated by the Amerian G-IT Corps within the Amerian Army during the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Reconguista in G. Alongside the VGMM-Gb08 Zgocky, the Zgok-E formed part of the Amerian military’s underwater combat capability, providing mobile suit operations in maritime environments where conventional units could not operate effectively.

History

Development

The Zgok-E was developed by Ameria as part of its amphibious mobile suit programme. The “E” suffix in its designation distinguished it from the Zgocky, indicating a variant within the same family of underwater-capable machines. Both units served in the G-IT Corps, the specialised formation that operated Ameria’s most advanced mobile suit types.

Like the Zgocky, the Zgok-E was powered by a photon battery system adapted for underwater operation. This provided the energy capacity needed to sustain propulsion, weapons, and life support systems in the challenging conditions of submerged combat. The machine’s design incorporated corrosion-resistant materials and hydrodynamic armour shaping to optimise underwater performance.

Operational deployment

The Zgok-E was deployed in underwater and coastal operations alongside the Zgocky and other Amerian forces. Its role in the Reconguista conflict involved securing underwater strategic positions, conducting amphibious assaults, and protecting Amerian maritime interests against opposing forces. The multi-faction nature of the conflict meant that underwater operations could involve encounters with the Pirate Corps, Capital Army, or Towasanga forces, depending on the operational context.

The Zgok-E’s presence in the Amerian arsenal demonstrated the comprehensive approach the Amerian Army took to mobile suit deployment — maintaining capabilities across land, sea, and space environments to ensure operational flexibility in the complex political landscape of the Regild Century.

Design & capabilities

The Zgok-E shared the general design philosophy of the Amerian amphibious programme, with streamlined armour, water jet propulsion, and specialised armament for underwater combat. Its mega particle claws were effective in close-quarters underwater engagements, while torpedo launchers provided ranged attack capability. The machine could also transition to atmospheric operation, making it a versatile amphibious platform.
