ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex

The ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex (ASW-G-08 ガンダムバルバトスルプスレックス) is the final form of the Gundam Barbatos in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. It features a tail unit and enhanced melee capability. Mikazuki Augus pilots it until his Alaya-Vijnana condition forces him to stop; Akihiro Altland then takes over and fights in it until the end of the series.

Design

The Lupus Rex is an evolution of the Barbatos Lupus with a distinctive tail and heavier close-combat armament. The increased performance places greater strain on the pilot, contributing to Mikazuki’s decline. It uses the same Gundam Frame with dual Ahab Reactors and nanolaminate armour.
