XMS-005 Thieleva

The XMS-005 Thieleva (XMS-005 シーレヴァ, XMS-005 Shīreva) was a prototype mobile suit developed by Vagan during the second generation of the war against the Earth Federation in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. As a Vagan prototype, the Thieleva represented the technological capabilities of Vagan’s mobile suit development programme and its efforts to maintain superiority over Federation forces.

History

Development

The Thieleva was developed by Vagan as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain technological superiority over the Earth Federation. Vagan’s mobile suit development programme was driven by the need to counter the Federation’s evolving mobile suit technology, particularly the AGE System and the Gundam mobile suits it produced.

The Thieleva was designed as a prototype unit, incorporating advanced technologies that were not yet available in Vagan’s mass production mobile suits. These technologies were intended to give Vagan pilots a tactical advantage in combat against Federation forces.

Combat deployment

The Thieleva was deployed during the second generation of the war, when Vagan was intensifying its offensive operations against the Earth Federation. The mobile suit was used by Vagan’s elite pilots in combat operations against Federation forces, including engagements with the AGE-2 Gundam piloted by Asemu Asuno.

As a prototype, the Thieleva was produced in limited numbers and was not widely deployed. However, its performance in combat provided valuable data that informed the development of subsequent Vagan mobile suit designs.

Design

Specifications

The Thieleva was a prototype mobile suit that incorporated advanced Vagan technology. Its design emphasised combat performance over mass production feasibility, resulting in a mobile suit that was more capable but also more complex and expensive to produce than Vagan’s standard units.

Armaments

The Thieleva was equipped with beam sabers for close combat, a beam rifle for ranged engagements, and a defensive shield. These weapons were consistent with Vagan’s mobile suit design philosophy, which favoured powerful beam weapons capable of penetrating Federation armour.

Known pilots

Elite Vagan pilots operated the Thieleva prototype during the second generation of the war.
