STH-16 Shiden
Mass-production mobile suit used by Tekkadan and others in the latter half of Iron-Blooded Orphans.
The STH-16 Shiden (STH-16 紫電) is a mass-production mobile suit in the Post Disaster timeline that appears in the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Tekkadan and other factions adopt it as an improvement over or supplement to the EB-06 Graze. It uses a single Ahab Reactor and nanolaminate armour, and can be fitted with Alaya-Vijnana System–compatible equipment for enhanced pilots such as Mikazuki Augus and Akihiro Altland.
Design and variants
The Shiden is a general-purpose unit with good mobility and armament options. Variants include the standard Shiden, Commander Type, and the Shiden Custom used by Tekkadan’s aces. Tekkadan deploys Shiden units alongside the Gundam Barbatos and other frames in Season 2.
