The RGE-G1100 Adele (RGE-G1100 アデル, RGE-G1100 Aderu) was the Earth Federation’s mass production mobile suit during the second generation of the war against Vagan in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. It succeeded the RGE-B790 Genoace as the Federation’s standard mobile suit, incorporating improvements based on combat data collected during the first generation of the war.

History

Development

The Adele was developed as a replacement for the Genoace, which had shown its limitations against Vagan’s increasingly advanced mobile suits. The design incorporated lessons learned from decades of combat experience, including improvements to armour, propulsion, and weapons systems.

While the Adele was still a mass production unit built using conventional engineering principles, it represented a significant improvement over the Genoace. Its enhanced performance allowed Federation pilots to engage Vagan mobile suits more effectively, though it still lagged behind the prototype AGE-2 Gundam in overall capability.

Combat deployment

The Adele saw extensive service during the second generation of the war. Adele units were deployed alongside the AGE-2 Gundam piloted by Asemu Asuno, providing numerical support and tactical flexibility in combat operations.

Despite its improvements over the Genoace, the Adele continued to face challenges against Vagan’s advanced mobile suits. Federation pilots often relied on coordinated tactics and numerical superiority to compensate for the performance gap between the Adele and its Vagan counterparts.

Legacy

The Adele established the foundation for subsequent Federation mass production mobile suits. Its design philosophy — balancing performance, cost, and ease of production — influenced later developments in the Federation’s mobile suit programme.

Design

Specifications

The Adele stood approximately 18.5 metres tall and was powered by a plasma reactor. Its armour was constructed from E-Carbon, an improved composite material that offered better protection than earlier Federation mobile suit armour. The Adele’s propulsion system was upgraded from the Genoace, providing improved mobility and combat performance.

Armaments

The Adele was equipped with beam sabers for close combat, a beam rifle for ranged engagements, and a defensive shield. These were standard Federation-issue weapons, similar to those used by the Genoace but with improved performance.

Known pilots

Various Earth Federation pilots operated the Adele during the second generation of the war.
