Princess Emeraude
Princess Emeraude is the Pillar of Cephiro in Magic Knight Rayearth. Imprisoned by High Priest Zagato, her faltering prayers cause Cephiro to collapse. Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji are chosen as the Magic Knights to rescue her—but the series reveals she summoned them not for rescue but to be killed, as the Pillar role is a form of spiritual imprisonment and she seeks release.
