Hikaru Shidou

Hikaru Shidou (獅堂 光) is one of the three Magic Knights in Magic Knight Rayearth. An eighth-grade student transported from Tokyo Tower to Cephiro, she wields the power of fire and bonds with Rayearth, the wolf-like Rune God (Mashin) that becomes her partner in battle.

Hikaru’s warmth and determination anchor the trio alongside Umi Ryuuzaki and Fuu Hououji. The three are summoned to rescue the Pillar—a mission that the first arc subverts when they learn the true cost of Cephiro’s destiny. Hikaru’s growth and her bond with Rayearth reflect the series’ themes of willpower, sacrifice, and the weight of heroism.
