The Pillar is the person in Magic Knight Rayearth whose constant prayers maintain Cephiro—in that world, willpower shapes reality. Princess Emeraude is the Pillar; her imprisonment by Zagato causes Cephiro to collapse and summons the Magic Knights. The role is revealed as a form of spiritual imprisonment.
