Behind the scenes
Ahmad represents the baseline Maganac pilot in the creative team’s internal documentation, providing a neutral template that model sheets could build upon for the more specialised members. Sumizawa Katsuyuki described him in planning notes as the “steady hand” who anchors the unit when Quatre is absent, a concept recycled in the Episode Zero side stories. Okawara Kunio’s art books reproduce Ahmad’s balanced equipment package, and those illustrations guided Bandai’s trading card depictions and the colour call-outs used in early hobby magazines covering the Gundam Wing broadcast.
