Auda
Maganac Corps member and close-combat specialist.
Auda was a member of the Maganac Corps, the loyal band of mobile suit pilots who served under Quatre Raberba Winner and the Winner family. He piloted the WMS-03 Maganac Auda Custom, a close-quarters combat specialist variant of the standard Maganac mobile suit.
Appearance
Auda appears alongside his comrades in desert-ready Maganac Corps gear, pairing a wrapped headscarf with practical combat fatigues adapted for harsh climates. His personalised Maganac retains the frame’s tan-and-brown colour scheme while adding enlarged forearm shields and reinforced leg armour for melee engagements.
Personality & traits
As a member of the Maganac Corps, Auda demonstrated the loyalty and dedication that characterised the entire unit. The Maganac pilots were known for their fierce devotion to Quatre Raberba Winner and their willingness to risk their lives for the causes he championed. His role as a close-combat specialist highlights his willingness to fight at point-blank range where the risks were greatest.
Biography
Auda served as one of the forty members of the Maganac Corps who fought alongside Quatre Raberba Winner during the Eve Wars in AC 195, operating a close-combat specialist variant of the Maganac mobile suit.
After Colony 195
Auda served as one of the forty Maganac Corps members who followed Quatre Raberba Winner throughout the conflicts of AC 195. As a member of this elite group, he participated in numerous battles alongside Quatre and the other Gundam pilots during the Eve Wars.
His WMS-03 Maganac Auda Custom was specially configured for close-quarters combat, making it ideal for melee engagements and short-range operations. This specialisation made Auda’s unit particularly effective in urban environments and confined spaces where ranged weapons were less advantageous.
Auda and his fellow Maganac pilots demonstrated unwavering loyalty to Quatre and the Winner family, following them through the various conflicts that defined AC 195. The Maganac Corps’s dedication to Quatre stemmed from the Winner family’s benevolent treatment of them and their shared commitment to protecting the desert territories and colonial interests.
Equipment
Auda’s WMS-03 Maganac Auda Custom carried enhanced melee gear, including enlarged shoulder armour, clawed manipulators, and close-range weapons tuned for breaching manoeuvres. The reinforced frame allowed him to batter through enemy lines whilst protecting allied Maganac units.

Behind the scenes
Story editor Sumizawa Katsuyuki positioned Auda as the close-combat foil to Abdul’s reconnaissance role so that the Maganac Corps would mirror a modern combined-arms unit rather than a faceless entourage. Okawara Kunio’s design sheets emphasised oversized forearm cutters and heavy armour, features that later informed the B-Club 1/144 garage kit and Bandai’s Gundam Wing mechanical collection cards. Interviews compiled in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Memorial Box note that the production team storyboarded several melee inserts specifically to showcase Auda’s customised Maganac in contrast to the standard desert suits.
