A-LAWS

A-LAWS (アロウズ, Arōzu), short for Anti-Licensed Armed Weaponry System, was a military organisation formed in the Anno Domini timeline to eliminate Celestial Being and maintain world order. The organisation served as a primary antagonist force in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Second Season, operating with advanced technology and ruthless methods to achieve its goals.

History

Formation

A-LAWS was established in Anno Domini 2311, four years after Celestial Being’s initial armed interventions, as a unified military force dedicated to eliminating the organisation and maintaining the world’s established order. The organisation was formed by the United Nations, combining forces from the Union, Advanced European Union (AEU), and Human Reform League (HRL).

The organisation’s stated purpose was to eliminate threats to world peace and maintain order, though its methods and actions often raised questions about its true motivations. A-LAWS operated with significant autonomy and utilised advanced technology, including mobile suits equipped with GN Tau Drives, to combat Celestial Being.

Operations

A-LAWS engaged in operations throughout the world, targeting Celestial Being and any forces that opposed the established order. The organisation’s methods were often ruthless, utilising overwhelming force and advanced technology to achieve its goals. A-LAWS operated under the guise of maintaining peace and order, though its actions frequently demonstrated a willingness to use extreme measures.

The organisation’s operations were characterised by their efficiency and brutality, as A-LAWS sought to eliminate threats quickly and decisively. This approach made A-LAWS a formidable opponent for Celestial Being, as the organisation could deploy significant resources and advanced technology in its operations.

Relationship with Innovators

A-LAWS was secretly controlled by the Innovators, who used the organisation as a tool to achieve their own goals. Ribbons Almark and other Innovators manipulated A-LAWS operations from behind the scenes, directing the organisation to eliminate threats to their plans whilst maintaining the appearance of independent operation.

This relationship meant that A-LAWS’ actions served the Innovators’ agenda, even when individual A-LAWS members were unaware of this connection. The organisation’s true purpose, as defined by the Innovators, was to eliminate Celestial Being and create conditions that would allow the Innovators to guide humanity’s evolution.

Dissolution

A-LAWS was ultimately defeated by Celestial Being and the organisation dissolved following the conflict’s conclusion. The revelation of the Innovators’ control over A-LAWS and the organisation’s ruthless methods led to widespread condemnation, contributing to its downfall.

Organisation

Command structure

A-LAWS operated under a military command structure, with various commanders responsible for different operations and units. The organisation’s command hierarchy allowed for efficient operation and coordination of forces, though ultimate control rested with the Innovators who manipulated the organisation from behind the scenes.

Military forces

A-LAWS fielded significant military forces, including advanced mobile suits equipped with GN Tau Drives. The organisation’s forces were well-equipped and trained, making them effective opponents for Celestial Being’s Gundams despite the technological advantage held by true GN Drive-powered units.

Philosophy

A-LAWS’ stated philosophy was to maintain world peace and order by eliminating threats and enforcing stability. However, the organisation’s methods and the revelation of Innovator control demonstrated that its true purpose was to serve the Innovators’ agenda, which involved controlling humanity’s evolution rather than truly maintaining peace.

The organisation’s approach emphasised the use of force to achieve its goals, viewing threats to the established order as enemies that needed to be eliminated. This philosophy created conflict with Celestial Being, which sought to eliminate warfare through different methods.

Notable members

Technology

A-LAWS utilised advanced technology, including mobile suits equipped with GN Tau Drives that provided GN particle capabilities. The organisation’s technological capabilities, combined with its significant resources, made it a formidable military force capable of challenging Celestial Being.
