GFAS-X1 Destroy Gundam

The GFAS-X1 Destroy Gundam (デストロイガンダム, Desutoroi Gandamu) was a massive transformable mobile fortress developed for the Earth Alliance by Adukurf Mechano-Industries under the influence of LOGOS in Cosmic Era 73. Far larger than a conventional mobile suit, it functioned as a one-machine heavy assault platform whose entire frame was covered in beam cannons, missile launchers, and defensive systems, effectively serving as a walking superweapon.

In its normal mode the Destroy already towered over standard mobile suits; transforming into its attack mode extended its limbs and backpack to bring additional high-energy beam cannons and arrays of small beam guns to bear. The suit was powered by a nuclear reactor equipped with a Neutron Jammer Canceller and protected by a positron reflector shield that could block even heavy beam weaponry, allowing it to advance relentlessly whilst bombarding wide areas.

Multiple Destroy Gundam units were fielded as terror weapons during the Second Alliance-PLANT War. The most infamous deployment saw Extended pilot Stella Loussier rampage through Berlin, forcing Kira Yamato to destroy the unit in order to stop the massacre—an act that traumatised Shinn Asuka and deepened his hatred of Kira. Later, additional Destroy units were deployed by LOGOS during operations such as Operation Ragnarok, only to be destroyed by ZAFT and the Three Ships Alliance.
