Gate of Zedan

The Gate of Zedan (ゼダンの門, Zedan no Mon) was the Titans space headquarters during the Gryps Conflict. It was the former Zeon fortress A Baoa Qu, handed over by the Republic of Zeon to the Titans in June UC 0087 and renamed in honour of Jamitov Hymen’s ancestral hometown of Sedan (with “Zedan” as the German pronunciation). Together with the colony Gryps, it formed the Titans’ stronghold near Luna II.

On 18 January UC 0088, Haman Karn of Axis Zeon deliberately rammed the asteroid Axis into the Gate of Zedan, destroying the fortress and much of the Titans’ remaining space forces. Axis forces then captured the Gryps II colony laser. The destruction marked a decisive turn in the Gryps Conflict.
