GAT-X252 Forbidden Gundam

The GAT-X252 Forbidden Gundam (フォビドゥンガンダム, Fobidon Gandamu) was an Earth Alliance prototype close-combat mobile suit that appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and was later refitted for Phantom Pain in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It used Trans-Phase Armor and the Geschmeidig Panzer beam-deflection system on its shields, which could repel beam attacks and assist underwater movement. It could transform into a high-speed assault form with the backpack over the head; its railguns and plasma cannon were usable only in that form.

History

In SEED the Forbidden was piloted by the Extended Shani Andras and fought alongside the Raider and Calamity Gundams. Shani was killed at the Second Battle of Jachin Due. In SEED Destiny, Phantom Pain deployed refitted Forbidden units (along with Raider and Calamity refits) as part of the Earth Alliance forces during the Second Alliance-PLANT War.
