Futoshi

Futoshi (フトシ), designated Code:214, is the Stamen of the Franxx unit Argentea in Darling in the FranXX. A member of Squad 13, he is initially Kokoro’s partner in Argentea; when Kokoro’s feelings turn toward Mitsuru, Futoshi is reassigned to partner with Ikuno in the cockpit.

His arc explores rejection, jealousy, and eventually acceptance as he learns to support his comrades despite his own heartbreak. Later in the story he finds purpose beyond the squad, becoming a baker and eventually building a family—embodying the series’ theme of Parasites reclaiming human futures beyond APE and the war.
