Angels
The Angels are the primary antagonists of the Evangelion franchise: mysterious, often biomechanical beings that attack Tokyo-3 and are opposed by NERV’s Evangelion units. They are designated by number and biblical or mythological names (e.g. Sachiel, Ramiel, Tabris) and possess diverse forms and abilities, including AT Fields and devastating weapons.
Notable Angels include Sachiel (the third Angel), Ramiel (the fifth), and Tabris (the seventeenth). They appear across Neon Genesis Evangelion and the Rebuild of Evangelion films.
