The ZGMF-2000 GOUF Ignited (グフイグナイテッド, Gufu Igunaitedo) was a ZAFT mass-production mobile suit in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Part of ZAFT’s New Millennium series, it was designed for close combat and featured Phase Shift Armor, forearm-mounted MA-M757 “Slayer Whip” heat rods (electrical shock), M181SE “Draupnir” 4-barrel beam guns, and an MMI-558 “Tempest” beam sword stored in the shield. It was powered by an ultracompact energy battery.

History

The GOUF Ignited entered service in CE 73 and saw use throughout the Second Alliance-PLANT War. Heine Westenfluss operated a custom orange unit; Yzak Joule used a white GOUF Ignited in space during the assault on the Requiem cannon at Daedalus. Athrun Zala briefly stole one before defecting and was shot down by Shinn Asuka’s Destiny Gundam.
