Michael Gern (マイケル・ゲルン, Maikeru Gerun) is an officer of the Earth Militia in Turn A Gundam who helps organise local forces after the Moonrace landing. He works alongside figures such as Guin Sard Rhineford and clashes with Loran Cehack’s reluctance to treat every lunar arrival as an enemy.

Gern represents the professional military mindset on Earth: pragmatic, often blunt, and quick to favour sorties when negotiations stall—adding friction to the story’s search for a non-destructive path out of the Dark History’s shadow.
