GNX-603T GN-X
United Nations Forces mass-production mobile suit powered by GN Tau Drive.
The GNX-603T GN-X (ジーエヌエックス, Jī Enu Ekkusu) was a mass-production mobile suit developed by the United Nations Forces in the Anno Domini timeline. The GN-X was the first mobile suit to utilise GN Tau Drive technology, developed based on captured Gundam technology, and represented a significant advancement that allowed conventional forces to match Celestial Being’s Gundams in combat capability.
The “GNX” designation indicated a GN-X type mobile suit, whilst the “603T” model number denoted its development sequence and type. The mobile suit was developed through the collaboration of the Union, Advanced European Union (AEU), and Human Reform League (HRL) following their unification into the United Nations Forces.
History
The GN-X was developed in Anno Domini 2307 as part of the United Nations Forces’ response to Celestial Being’s armed interventions. The mobile suit utilised GN Tau Drive technology, which was developed based on reverse-engineered Gundam technology, allowing it to generate GN particles similar to those produced by Celestial Being’s Gundams.
The GN-X’s development represented a breakthrough for conventional forces, as it provided capabilities that approached those of the Gundams. The mobile suit was deployed en masse as the United Nations Forces prepared for their final confrontation with Celestial Being, marking a turning point in the conflict.
The GN-X was deployed in large numbers during the final battle against Celestial Being, demonstrating its effectiveness against the organisation’s Gundams. The mobile suit’s success contributed to the United Nations Forces’ ability to confront Celestial Being directly, though it also demonstrated the risks of deploying GN Tau Drive technology.
Design
The GN-X featured a humanoid design optimised for combat, incorporating GN Tau Drive technology that generated GN particles similar to those produced by Celestial Being’s Gundams. The mobile suit’s design prioritised versatility and combat effectiveness, allowing it to operate effectively in various combat environments.
The GN-X’s GN Tau Drive provided significant advantages, including improved mobility, defensive capabilities through GN particle dispersion, and enhanced weapon systems. However, the Tau Drive’s limitations compared to true GN Drives meant that the GN-X could not match the full capabilities of Celestial Being’s Gundams.
Armaments
The GN-X’s standard weapons were the GN Beam Rifle for ranged attacks and GN Beam Sabres for melee combat.
GN Beam Rifle
The GN-X was equipped with a GN Beam Rifle, utilising GN particles generated by its Tau Drive to produce powerful beam attacks. The weapon provided effective firepower against enemy mobile suits and vessels.
GN Beam Sabres
The GN-X carried two GN Beam Sabres stored on its legs, providing melee combat capabilities. These weapons utilised GN particles to create powerful cutting blades effective in close combat.
GN Shield
The GN-X was equipped with a GN Shield that provided defensive capabilities against both physical and beam attacks. The shield’s design incorporated GN particle technology to enhance its defensive effectiveness.
GN Vulcan
The GN-X featured head-mounted GN Vulcans that provided close-range defensive capabilities, allowing it to intercept missiles and engage lightly armoured targets.
