Sigyn

Sigyn (シギュン), also Sigyn Erster, is the queen and chief engineer of Krisna in Broken Blade. She was childhood friends with Rygart Arrow, Hodr, and Zess; married to Hodr (they later divorce), she struggles to develop weapons capable of defending Krisna from the Athens Commonwealth.

Her bond with Rygart and her role as engineer-queen place her at the centre of the series’ themes of duty, love, and the personal cost of war. Her work supports Krisna’s defence whilst her relationships with Hodr and Rygart complicate the human stakes of the conflict.
