Satellite Cannon

The Satellite Cannon (サテライトキャノン, Sateraito Kyanon) is a weapon system in the After War timeline used by the GX-9900 Gundam X in After War Gundam X. It receives microwave power from a relay satellite in orbit around the Moon and channels it into a devastating beam. The cannon is mounted on the Gundam X’s back and requires a clear line of sight to the lunar relay for full power.

Overview

Developed during the 7th Space War by the Federal Forces, the Satellite Cannon allowed Gundam-type mobile suits to fire a high-output beam without carrying the full power plant on board. Garrod Ran’s Gundam X uses it as its signature weapon; the Gundam X Divider retains the system. The weapon is central to the Gundam X’s role as a protagonist unit and to the series’ 7th Space War backstory.
