Renton Thurston

Renton Thurston (レントン・サーストン) is the male protagonist of Eureka Seven. A 14-year-old who idolises the renegade group Gekkostate and its leader Holland Novak, he is the son of the late war hero Adrock Thurston and struggles with his father’s legacy.

When the Nirvash crashes into his grandfather’s garage, Renton meets Eureka and falls in love at first sight. He joins Gekkostate to be with her and to follow his idols, becoming co-pilot and later pilot of the Nirvash alongside Eureka. Over the series he grows from an impulsive teenager into someone willing to fight for coexistence with the Scub Coral and for a future with Eureka.
