MSJ-06II-A Tieren

The MSJ-06II-A Tieren (ティエレン, Tieren) was a mass-production mobile suit developed by the Human Reform League (HRL) in the Anno Domini timeline. The Tieren was designed for ground combat operations, featuring heavy armour and robust construction that prioritised durability and firepower over mobility.

The “MSJ” designation indicated a Mobile Suit for the Human Reform League, whilst the “06II-A” model number denoted its development sequence and type. The Tieren’s design philosophy emphasised heavy armour and firepower, reflecting the HRL’s approach to mobile suit development.

History

The Tieren was developed in Anno Domini 2277 as the HRL’s primary mobile suit, designed to meet the league’s requirements for ground combat operations. The mobile suit’s heavy armour and robust construction made it well-suited to the demanding conditions of ground warfare, establishing it as an effective combat unit.

The Tieren was deployed extensively by the HRL military, participating in operations and conflicts throughout the world. The mobile suit’s capabilities were tested when Celestial Being began its armed interventions, as Tieren units attempted to counter the organisation’s Gundams, though they proved unable to match the Gundams’ superior technology and mobility.

The Tieren continued to serve as the HRL’s primary mobile suit even after the introduction of GN technology, with many units upgraded to utilise GN Tau Drives. The mobile suit’s design influenced later mobile suit development and served as the basis for improved variants.

Design

The Tieren featured a heavily armoured design optimised for ground combat and durability. The mobile suit’s construction prioritised protection and firepower over mobility, making it effective in defensive and assault roles but less capable in high-speed combat situations.

The Tieren’s design philosophy reflected the HRL’s emphasis on practical and robust military equipment, prioritising reliability and effectiveness over advanced technology. The mobile suit’s heavy armour provided excellent protection, though it limited mobility compared to more advanced designs.

Armaments

The Tieren’s standard weapons were the 200mm x 25 Caliber Smoothbore Gun for ranged attacks and the 30mm Machine Gun for additional firepower.

200mm x 25 Caliber Smoothbore Gun

The Tieren was equipped with a 200mm x 25 Caliber Smoothbore Gun mounted on its right shoulder, providing powerful long-range firepower. The weapon was effective against enemy mobile suits and fortified positions, making it valuable for ground combat operations.

30mm Machine Gun

The Tieren carried a 30mm Machine Gun as a handheld weapon, providing additional firepower for combat situations. The weapon was effective against lightly armoured targets and provided suppressive fire capabilities.
