Dick Allen (ディック・アレン, Dikku Aren) was a Delaz Fleet mobile suit pilot during Operation Stardust. As member of the Zeon remnant forces, Dick represented the pilots who remained loyal to Zeon’s cause four years after the One Year War, participating in the Delaz Fleet’s attempt to continue their struggle.
Service with Delaz Fleet
Dick Allen served as mobile suit pilot within the Delaz Fleet, piloting Zeon mobile suits during operations against Earth Federation forces. As member of the remnant fleet led by Aiguille Delaz, Dick participated in the audacious Operation Stardust plan to disrupt Federation power and inspire Spacenoid resistance.
The Delaz Fleet consisted primarily of One Year War veterans who refused to accept Zeon’s defeat. Four years after the war’s conclusion, these pilots maintained their skills and dedication despite operating with limited resources and facing Federation’s rebuilt military forces.
Operation Stardust
During Operation Stardust, Dick participated in mobile suit operations supporting Anavel Gato’s mission. The Delaz Fleet faced Federation forces led by pilots like Kou Uraki, engaging in combat that would determine whether Zeon remnants could successfully strike back at the Federation.
Death
Dick Allen died during Operation Stardust, killed in combat against Federation forces. His death represented the cost the Delaz Fleet paid in their attempt to continue Zeon’s struggle, with veteran pilots from the One Year War dying for cause that ultimately failed.
Significance
Dick Allen exemplified the Zeon remnant pilots who remained committed to their cause years after defeat. His continued service demonstrated both dedication to Spacenoid independence and the tragedy of soldiers unable to accept peace, continuing warfare that cost lives without achieving victory.
