Tokwan

Tokwan (トクワン, Tokwan) was a Principality of Zeon mobile suit pilot during the One Year War, representing the many skilled pilots who served Zeon’s military operations throughout the conflict before dying in combat.

Military Service

Tokwan served as mobile suit pilot:

• Piloted Zaku or similar mobile suits
• Participated in combat operations
• Served Zeon’s military objectives
• One of many pilots fighting throughout the war

Death

Tokwan died during the One Year War, one of countless mobile suit pilots killed in combat operations.

Significance

Tokwan represented the ordinary Zeon pilots who:

• Fought competently without becoming aces
• Served professionally throughout the conflict
• Died as casualties of warfare
• Made up the bulk of Zeon’s mobile suit forces

Behind the Scenes

Tokwan was created for Mobile Suit Gundam as one of the supporting Zeon pilots, representing the many individual soldiers who fought and died during the One Year War without becoming major characters.
