Texhnolyzation
Texhnolyzation is the central technological process in the Texhnolyze franchise—replacing human limbs with advanced prosthetics powered by raffia, a substance derived from corpses. Unlike cyberpunk that celebrates enhancement, Texhnolyze presents augmentation as fundamental loss of humanity: recipients struggle with phantom pain, psychological displacement, and the awareness that parts of their bodies are foreign. Yoshitoshi Abe’s designs depict prosthetics as crude, uncomfortable attachments. The Organo dominate the trade; the Salvation Union oppose it.
