The Missile Buggy was an armed buggy produced by the Earth Federation Forces during the One Year War.
History
When the Principality of Zeon deployed mobile suits during the One Year War, the Earth Federation did not have any mass-produced mobile suits. It had to rely on conventional weapons against the more advanced mobile suits. The Missile Buggy was one such vehicle.
The Missile Buggy continued to see service after the war. In UC 0153, the Macedonia Army used the buggies for colony defence.
Design
The Missile Buggy was a six-wheeled armed buggy designed for off-road military operations. It required a crew of two: a driver and a gunner. While the open-top design provided good visibility, it left the crew exposed to enemy fire.
Armaments
The Missile Buggy’s primary armament was a missile launcher mounted on its rear section.
Ten-tube missile launcher
A ten-tube missile launcher was mounted on the rear section of the buggy. This provided the vehicle with significant firepower against enemy mobile suits, though its effectiveness was limited by the exposed position of the gunner.
