Michiko Izuruha

Michiko Izuruha (ミチコ・イズルハ, Michiko Izuruha) was the mother of Alfred Izuruha and wife of Ems Izuruha. She lived with her family in the Libot colony on Side 6 during the One Year War, as depicted in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket.

Role

Michiko is part of Al’s family life in neutral Side 6. She and Ems represent the civilian world that Al is drawn away from by his friendship with Bernard Wiseman and the reality of Operation Rubicon. Her presence underscores the domestic cost of war when conflict reaches a neutral colony.
