Ems Izuruha

Ems Izuruha (エムス・イズルハ, Emusu Izuruha) was the father of Alfred Izuruha and husband of Michiko Izuruha. He lived with his family in the Libot colony on Side 6 during the One Year War, as depicted in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket.

Role

Ems is part of Al’s family life in neutral Side 6. He and Michiko represent the civilian home that Al is pulled away from by his friendship with Bernard Wiseman and the impact of Operation Rubicon on the colony.

Behind the scenes

Ems Izuruha appears in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket as Al’s father. Some sources use the spelling “Ems” and others “Emes”; the character is the same.
