Magma energy is the power source in Darling in the FranXX that sustains the Plantations. Humanity’s immortal adult society maintains technological superiority through its extraction; the Klaxosaurs are linked to the same underground resources, tying the conflict to Earth’s depths and later to the Klaxo Sapiens and VIRM mythology.
