Karla Mitchum
Living Dead Division medic who bonds with Daryl Lorenz during recovery.
Karla Mitchum (カーラ・ミッチェム, Kāra Mitchemu) was a doctor and medical staff member of the Living Dead Division in Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt. After suffering trauma during the Thunderbolt Sector battle, she was paired with Daryl Lorenz during her recovery; Zeon medical personnel used Daryl as a stand-in for her deceased father to help restore her mental state.
Role
Karla represents the human cost of the Thunderbolt conflict on both sides. Her damaged mental state and recovery arc, tied to Daryl Lorenz, illustrate the psychological toll of the One Year War and the Living Dead Division’s mix of combat and care.
