The Ispano Clan inherited Atlantean knowledge and built the legendary Escaflowne over nearly 150 years in The Vision of Escaflowne. Fanelia follows their traditions; pilots form blood pacts with Guymelefs. Van Fanel is the destined pilot of Escaflowne.
