Hana Mutou

Hana Mutou (武藤 ハナ) is the main female protagonist of Captain Earth and a member of the Midsummer’s Knights. She pilots a Kiltgang unit (the Flare Engine) and fights alongside Daichi Manatsu, Teppei Arashi, and Akari Yomatsuri against the Kill-T-Gang.

Hana appears to be a normal teenager but is originally of the Planetary Gears royal family—the “Princess of Blume.” Her arc centres on her artificial origins as a living weapon and her struggle to accept both her human and non-human identity, reflecting the series’ theme that strength comes from integrating all aspects of oneself.
