Full Metal Panic! is the first anime season of the Full Metal Panic franchise. Sousuke Sagara, a Mithril operative, is assigned to protect Kaname Chidori—a Whispered student at Jindai High School—using his ARX-7 Arbalest and other Arm Slaves. The series blends military action with school-life comedy. It aired from January to June 2002.
