FLCL (2000–2001) is the original six-episode OVA that established the FLCL franchise. Naota Nandaba encounters Haruko Haruhara; robots emerge from his head via N.O. channels, including Canti. Medical Mechanica represents conformity. Created by Kazuya Tsurumaki and Yōji Enokido; produced by Gainax and Production I.G. Soundtrack by The Pillows. Aired on Adult Swim in 2003.
