Darling in the FranXX (2018–2020) is the manga adaptation by Kentaro Yabuki, serialised in Shōnen Jump+. It initially followed the anime but diverged significantly from volume 4 onwards, concluding in 60 chapters across 8 volumes. Yabuki described it as “the ultimate what-if route” for the story.
