History
Founding
Scharnhorst Buch established the Buch Concern in UC 0055 as a space salvage business. The company operated in the early era of space colonisation, recovering materials and technology from decommissioned or destroyed space hardware.
Expansion
By UC 0108, the Buch Concern had grown significantly. It secretly established the Crossbone Vanguard, an elite military force operating outside the official Earth Federation military structure. The company also spun off Buch Aerodynamics, which developed the Dessa type — the first scaled-down mobile suit, rolled out in July UC 0108.

The Crossbone Vanguard was an elite military force secretly established by the Buch Concern. Operating independently, it became a significant military player in the later Universal Century.
Buch Aerodynamics
Buch Aerodynamics specialised in aerospace engineering and mobile suit design. It was responsible for developing the Dessa type, the first scaled-down mobile suit, marking a significant shift in mobile suit design philosophy.
