Simon the Digger is the central protagonist of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. A young digger from Giha Village, he discovers Lagann and, with Kamina, forms Gurren Lagann and founds Team Dai-Gurren. After Kamina’s death, Simon grows from follower to leader and eventually pilots Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann against the Anti-Spiral.
