Overview

Shining Gundam is a Real Grade 1/144 model kit from Mobile Fighter G Gundam, released in June 28, 2025. It retails for ¥3,850.

Features

The Shining Gundam has multiple modes. One of these modes is the ultra-high performance Super Mode. When in this mode, the face cover, arm covers, shoulder armor, and other sections throughout the MF are deployed, vastly enhancing its combat capabilities. This mode is activated by Domon’s emotions, especially anger, but it has a downside in that it leaves a heavy burden on the machine. The True Super Mode was activated when Domon reached an absolutely serene state of mind. The machine glows golden in this mode, and its combat abilities were even able to overwhelm Master Asia. The mode where only the face cover and arm covers are deployed is called Battle Mode, and it is used when performing the Shining Finger. The transition into these modes is largely relevant to the Energy Multiplier and Artificial Aura Generator (AAG) built into the chest.

Vulcan Gun These are a pair of firearms built into the head. They were mainly used to keep enemies in check, but were capable of destroying targets such as the Death Army. Shining Finger The Shining Finger is performed by coating the manipulators with liquid metal bursting out of the slits in the palms and the knuckles and releasing concentrated energy, crushing objects that are grasped. This energy can be emitted in the form of a beam. This is the Shining Gundam’s special move, and it can be used in Super Mode and Battle Mode. Domon uses it while announcing the introductory phrase: This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! Its burning grip tells me to defeat you! Here I go! Shining Finger!* When he reached an absolutely serene state of mind in the Guiana Highlands and activated True Super Mode, he unleashed the King of Hearts Shining Finger and defeated the Devil Gundam. Beam Sword These are melee combat weapons that emit beam blades, and a pair of long and short sword units are attached to a rack on the left hip, reminiscent of a samurai’s tachi and wakizashi. They have excellent cutting abilities and are powerful enough to slice through armor made of Gundarium alloy. Machine Cannon These are one of the fixed firearms installed on the Shining Gundam. Two guns are built into the left and right sides of the upper torso section. They fired rounds with larger calibers and were more powerful than the Vulcan Guns. Shining Shot / Smash Booster These are small beam cannons installed within the arm covers that shield the forearm. They can be aimed freely and have wide effective ranges. Smash Boosters are installed at the ends of the arm covers, enhancing punching power.
